On December 15, the Elneweihi family joined VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation for the Angel Dedication Event to celebrate the doctors, nurses and other health care professionals who provide British Columbians with the best in specialized care.

In front of an audience of health care staff, donor, and visitors to the hospital, Ahmed Elneweihi thanked the angels in his life by presenting them with heavenly ornaments and 24-carat gold-dusted chocolate angels created by Thomas Haas specially for the Angel Campaign and Event.

Those angels included liver transplant surgeons Dr Charles Scudamore, Dr Stephen Chung, nurses Eva Hargraves and Sean Vernon, and Ahmed Elneweihi’s wife and their son Sameer.
